Stop off at East Maitland on the Way Home

After the convention had concluded and we were very generously invited to visit a couple of layouts (more about that in future posts), we made our way north via East Maitland.  We caught back up with John here and watched a few trains come thundering past.
The view from the rail bridge looking south.
The view looking north from the same location.

Not long after the first port bound coalie thundered south.

I think the 2nd person is trying to tell us something through the windscreen.

The rear of the first train.

We even had a visit from a local railcar.

This train was heading back for another load.

Then another coal filled train heading to port.
