Day 2 First Stop

After stopping at Tamworth for the first night on our road trip to Sydney, we hit the road early and not far down the road we stopped at Werris Creek.  This is always a great place to see some trains and we were not disappointed on this occasion.  The guys had something to drink at the cafĂ© across the road from the station and the drizzly conditions did not stop us getting quite a few photos.

The view looking south from the overbridge.

On the back platform, there was a grain train waiting access to the grain siding just down the road.

The rest of the train waiting in the loop.

I think there is something coming.

A coalie heading to port to drop off its load.

The grainie being hand signalled into the loop.

There were a couple of trains in the siding.

The station architecture on the back platform.

A view of some of the building near the back platform.

Another shot of a couple of buildings from the back platform.

Looking south towards the Werris Creek Loco.

A better view of the track work.

The architecture on the main platform.

The small siding off the loop next to the main platform.

You can see the levers in through the window on the platform signal box.
